Hi there! I'm Arushi.

My design journey took a few scenic routes and unexpected turns, but the views along the way were worth it!

Let's get to know me a little, shall we?

My path to design wasn't traditional - development, marketing, and eventually design. These weren't detours. Each chapter added a lens I still carry: the ability to think critically and experimentally, to understand how people make decisions, and to genuinely empathise with my stakeholders whom I build alongside every day.

What's stayed constant through all of it is a tendency to dig into the problem, the assumption, the quiet frustration nobody mentioned in the brief. I zoom out before I zoom in - because the question worth answering is rarely the first one on the table.

Two things I keep coming back to, regardless of what I'm building: that good design should make everyone feel like they belong - not as an afterthought, but as the baseline. And that as AI reshapes what we build, the human at the centre shouldn't get lost in the process of making everything faster.

🌴 When I’m not designing, I’m probably trail-hopping, reading something that sparks an idea, nerding out at a design conference or standing in a queue at a store - mentally redesigning the checkout experience.
